Johnny Appleseed Day!! March 11 and Sept. 26th.. Why two dates?
Johnny Appleseed, also known as John Chapman was among the American settlers who were captivated by the movement west across the continent. On his travels west, he planted apple trees along the way, and sold trees to settlers. With every apple tree that he planted, his legend grew.
John Chapman was born on Sept. 26, 1774 and is believed to of died on March 11, 1845. Which date would you rather celebrate? At any rate, thank you Johnny Appleseed for the legend and delicious apples along the way...

Johnny planted apple seeds to make hard cider. Glad to see it making a comeback in the US!!! Thanks for helping out St. Ambrose Cellars with our spy juice to make hard cider.
